Dr Joseph Geng Akech Geng is the Minister of Youth and Sports in the Revitalised Transitional Government of National Unity, Republic of South Sudan. He is a human rights and constitutional lawyer and a researcher in constitutional designs, human rights and transitional justice.

He holds a Doctor of Laws in comparative constitutional law from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He has published widely on constitutionalism, governance and peacebuilding in South Sudan and Africa.
Dr. Akech is a member of African Network of Constitutional Lawyers and an adjunct assistant professor of law at the University of Juba.
