FAQs
We engage community experts to ensure our interventions are rooted in the realities faced by the people we serve. We collaborate with local governments, civil society organizations, regional and international partners. Our commitment to fostering partnerships reflects the belief that collective efforts yield more impactful results.
Premised in the South Sudan Capital, Juba, the ACCRPB operates within the East African and Horn of Africa region, leveraging its deep understanding of local dynamics, cultural nuances, local languages and historical contexts. The ACCRPB embodies the spirit of “African solutions to African problems,” a mantra championed by the African Union. This approach recognizes that the challenges faced by the continent require context-specific, home-grown solutions. Our focus extends across the East African and Horn of Africa region and beyond. We target vulnerable populations, including youth and women. These demographics are disproportionately affected by conflict and play a crucial role in peacebuilding.
Our programs address multifaceted challenges, including conflict prevention, human rights advocacy, and poverty alleviation. By combining various approaches, the organization tackles interconnected issues, acknowledging that peace building is not a one-size-fits-all endeavour. We empower change-makers, including youth and women, to actively participate in conflict resolution and peace building efforts. Through grassroots initiatives, we foster ownership and urgency, recognizing that sustainable solutions emerge from within the affected communities.
We recognise that in order to navigate the challenges ahead and pave the path for peaceful coexistence, there is urgent need to cultivate greater tolerance for divergence and address issues of discrimination, inequality, and power imbalances. We work with all stakeholders, including the African Union, the Intergovernmental Agency on Development (IGAD), governments, civil society, academia, and individuals, in building a more harmonious and resilient Africa.
